facial features

This is how the maniquine looks like with the hair and facial features on.

I used the pen tool to make the shape of the eye shape. For the eye lashes I used the pencil tool and with the direct selection tool I put the eyelashes in place. Using the circle tool I made the eye ball and the rest of the circle I rubbed it out using the eraser tool. With the pen tool I made a curved line for the eyebrow and manipulated the shape with the direct selection tool.
Using dark red for the stroke and a lighter red for the fill I used the pen tool to make the mouth. After that I used the direct selection tool to manipulate the shape to my liking.

To do the hair I used the pencil tool and drew some lines. After that I used the swirl tool to give the hair some texture/effect.

This is how the face looks like after grouping the facial features together.

characters

Using the shapes in Illustrator I created this little frind of mine. First I drew the shapes (round edged rectangle)starting with the body then the arms and legs. because I created the arms and legs after the body, they were on top.  So I went on Object - arrangement - sent to back. For the teeth I first made a rectangle, on the side of the page I made a little square and rotated it 45 degrees, after that I went on the minus pen tool and clicked on the top. Now I copied and pasted it and zoomed in to put the two teeth together. After that I selected both with the selection tool and copied it. After putting them together copied it again and using the refect tool I reflected it and put them in place.

Using the shapes in Illustrator I first made a circle for the head then I made triangles for the ears and sent them back. After grouping the head and ears together I made the eye using the circle shape tool and sending the shapes back and fors to make the eye look maor alive. When I finished one eye I copied and pasted it, I refected it and put them in place. The nose I made using the pen tool and for the mouth as well. Then I made the background by using a square and sending it right to the back. At the end I grouped all the shapes together.
Putting the cat design in the swatch palate, I drew another shape clicked on my design in the swatch and it repeats it's self on it's own. Then I manipilated it by using the scale tool to make it bigger or smaller, the rotate tool to turn it so that it is not boring straight.

fashion illustration

First I got this maiquine from the internet (size medium) and save it. then Iopened it up in Illustrator.

Sooming in on the maniquine I used the pen tool to go around it without putting on many points. to make it round I holded and draged the point. I used the direct selection tool to smoothen the lines out. While going around the body I had no fill and afer I finished I filled in the colour.

I coppied the template onto another document and also using the pen tool to creat the garment. Using the eareser I made the wavey lines on the skirt, top and ont the wrist and ankles decorations.
For the hair I used the brush tool to make the hair then using the swirl tool to give the hair some surreal effect.

vest

On Illustrator I used the pen tool to make a point from the neck line then another two  for the shoulder parts. For the armpit's part I made a point and while holding the point I just draged it to make a curved line. this is only the half of the top.
I also made another half of another top while I left the fill. On the first one I had no fill.

To show the stiches on the vest I cut the edges of the shoulders, armpits and the neck while one layer is locked. Then I using the arows on the keyboard I move the cutted lines. After that I brock the lines up so that they look like stitched lines. The same I did with the hem and also made a straight line.

I copied the cat charater thet I mande on Illustrator onto this work and put it into the swatch palate. Then I clicked on the vest and the on the cat charater in the swatch palate and by using the rotate tool I turned it sideways. And with the scale tool I manipulated the size of the pattern.

I copied and pasted the first vest onto another page and  transfered the the cat design onto the vest by putting it into the swatch palate. Some cat faces I left straight and the othert one I rotated the design. Using the eraser I started to play around and  changed the vest's shape a bit so that they don't look the same.
